Automatch Australia “the the wheel estate agents ™” is the brainchild of Cain Reid who owned and operated the first Automatch Australia agency in Cairns, Queensland. It has been operating since 2005 with excellent results and its success is the reason why it is being franchised throughout Australia.

Automatch Australia was borne out of the opportunity to adjust to the changing needs of the motor industry in the 21st century and cater for a growing number of customers who are unsatisfied with the conventional ways of buying, selling or trading their motor vehicles.

Currently in Queensland, about 48% of used motor vehicles are bought and sold privately, and this number is growing with the increased influence of and access to the internet. The other 52% of buyers are serviced by hundreds of franchised and independent motor dealers and car brokers.

New cars are becoming relatively cheaper and consequently volumes are at record levels. Margins are however shrinking, having a huge effect on used car trade ins. New car buyers in particular, are being constantly told by new car sales executives to “sell their own cars privately – as they cannot give high trade in values on most models.
